How To Clean False Eyelashes

Updated: Sep 4, 2020

False eyelashes are a brilliant way to make your eyes pop, but if you don’t look after them properly once you peel them off after a good night out, you may end up regretting it… and your eyes may well have something to say about it, as well.

You wouldn’t go to bed without cleansing, toning and moisturising, after all, and it’s just as important to make sure you look after your lashes, especially because they’re so close to your eyes.

Be as gently as you possibly can when peeling them off at the end of the day, as you could end up pulling out a lot of your real lashes if you’re not careful. Once done, make sure that you remove any lash glue and traces of mascara left behind, using a good makeup remover.

Then all you need to do is use a gentle cleanser on each of them, working it up into a bit of a lather (again, very gently so as not to cause any damage) before rinsing off properly with cool water. Leave to dry on some paper - and then pop off for your beauty sleep.

When it comes to cleansers, just make sure that you avoid using anything with oil in it, as you could well struggle to get your lashes to stay on properly since the glue could have difficulty adhering.
